Day 1- Yoshida-Jinja Shrine

My parents and I spent 5 days exploring Kyoto and the surrounding area. Here are some of the highlights!

  • Ginkaku-Ji Temple (silver pavilion)
  • Path of Philosophy
  • A lovely temple full of Camellias
  • Eikando Temple
  • Omlette rice at a Mom & Pop restaurant for lunch
  • Nanzenji Temple
  • Green Tea and Vanilla Swirl Ice Cream
  • Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden pavilion)
  • Ramen at Ippudo
Day 3 – Kiyomizu-dera
Day 3- walking down Sanneizaka
  • Kiyomizu-dera Temple
  • Sanneizaka street
  • Nineizaka street
  • Kodaiji Temple
  • Maruyama Park
  • Dinner at CoCo Curry near the hotel (Hotel San Crane)
Day 4- Himeji Castle
Day 4- Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine Senbontorii
Day 5- Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
Day 5- Tenryuji temple gardens
